Reportedly, steel export prices in the CIS countries are in divergent trends with long steel products sliding, steel billets stable, and finished flats climbing. Market for finished longs is dull. Rebar is mostly traded in between US$545/ton to US$560/ton FOB Black Sea while wire rod is remaining at around US$560/ton to US$570/ton FOB. Billet price is stabilizing at the previous week level. It is mostly traded at around US$500/ton but cheaper deals can be found in the market for the ports with higher winter risks. Meanwhile, many players tried to raise offers for January delivery to US$510/ton on FOB basis during the last week but it doesn't look workable for the moment. However, price for finished flat products increased by US$5/ton to US$10/ton. Hot rolled coil (HRC) from Ukraine is traded up to US$540/ton FOB Black/Azov Sea and the material from Russia FOB Novorossiysk is traded up to US$555/ton. January shipments have been fully booked already.
